    Research Project: Birmingham

    Birmingham School of Architecture will be running a pilot study for a research project during July, August and September 2015. We are looking for volunteers to participate who meet one of the criteria below.

    EITHER you are a Part 2 student and will start work in a West Midlands practice this summer;
    OR you are a Part 2 graduate in a West Midlands practice but have not yet completed your Part 3.

    This research project will examine how architecture graduates in the UK learn the act of detailed design in architectural practice. If you are interested in participating and would like more information, please contact Jim Sloan at Birmingham School of Architecture.

    This residential Summer School is open to all students – in the UK and further afield – and will be held between 13th-19th July 2014 in different architectural practices on each day: Zaha Hadid Architects, AHMM, Arup, ORMS and Amin Taha Architects. We will also have one day at the offices of The Architectural Review.

    I’ve just taken over as Director of The Bartlett School of Architecture. Can you please tell me if there’s any involvement by the Bartlett in ASN. I’m very keen to support it.

      Dear Mr Sheil,

      I believe I sent out an email to your school a few months ago but haven’t heard back. So, no, we still don’t have ASN representatives from Bartlett. Thank you for your interest, it would be great if you can support them in attending the conference. You can find all the necessary information on the website, but if you have any further queries do not hesitate to contact us either through here or through my email: zlatina.spasova@stu.mmu.ac.uk. Could you please ask the students wishing to get involved with the ASN and to attend the conference, to contact me on this email, so that I can have them on the database.

      Many thanks,
      Zlatina Spasova
